От оригинальной игры Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, дополнение отличается свежими одиночными и многопользовательскими режимами, в то время как сценарий не претерпел изменений. В сольной кампании, помимо сюжетного прохождения, можно выбрать аттракционы Score Attack, Trial Battle и Off Limit. В первом за каждого уничтоженного противника начисляются очки, причем их количество зависит от "качества убийства" — чем быстрее и эффектнее устранен враг, тем больше дается баллов. Во втором игрок поочередно сталкивается с каждым из множества встречавшихся в Lost Planet "боссов". Наконец, в третьем он просто истреет толпы нападающих, используя самое продвинутое вооружение.
Основные изменения коснулись мультиплеера. Для него авторы заготовили новых персонажей, оружие и карты, причем на одной из них действия разворачиваются в невесомости. Самым же оригинальным из шести свежих многопользовательских режимов стал Akrid Hunter, где игрок управляет огромным жуком, за которым охотятся другие участники.

Инструкция по установке:
1) Распаковать образ.
2) Смонтировать с помощью Daemon Tools.
3) Установить игру.
